Biographie

Philippe Masset est titulaire d'un doctorat de l'Université de Fribourg (2012). Ses domaines de recherche sont la finance empirique, les investissements alternatifs, l'économie du vin, la gestion financière de l'hôtellerie et les investissements immobiliers hôteliers. Il a été professeur invité à l'Université de Bordeaux et il est membre de plusieurs associations académiques dont l'American Association of Wine Economists (AAWE), Bordeaux Wine Economics (BWE), et membre du conseil d'administration de l'European Association of Wine Economists (EuAWE).


Il est membre fondateur de l'Alliance for Research on Wine and Hospitality Management (ARWHM). Il a publié plusieurs articles dans des revues internationales telles que Emerging Market Review, European Financial Management, Journal of Alternative Investments, et dans le Handbook of Financial Econometrics and Statistics, et a fait le sujet d'une couverture médiatique importante (par exemple, Bloomberg, Reuters, Radio Télévision Suisse, Bilan, The Times, The Daily Telegraph, China Daily, La Repubblica).


Il a donné des cours de finance (gestion financière, finance d'entreprise, investissements, finance immobilière, gestion des risques, économie et finance du vin) dans plusieurs établissements universitaires. Il est également membre du comité d'investissement d'Hotela, Président du Conseil de Fondation de la Caisse de Pension Prévotel et membre de la RCSO Economie & Management (HES-SO).
