Short Bio
After 10 years in the hospitality industry, gathering experience from a wide spectrum of establishments from camping grounds to 5-star deluxe properties, then working for a Destination Management Company focusing on the upscale market, Christina Tavares joined EHL in 2002.
She teaches courses in Rooms Division Management in the Bachelor and Master programs. Her passion for hospitality, together with her drive to experiment with technology and simulation software, enable her to enhance student learning while presenting a more holistic perspective of operations in hotels. Christina is an STR share center authorized instructor for the CHIA and CAHTA certificates, delivering optional courses every semester which qualify students to obtain the industry-recognized certifications. Since 2020 Christina has co-chaired the Assessment Board and was active in the successful transition to remote assessments at EHL, beginning Spring 2020.
